Meaux Mustard Wax Top
Produced in Meaux by the Pommery family dating from the 1800s, this mustard is delicious and a great gift, with its classic earthenware crock and sealed with its distinct red wax top.
A smooth tasty whole grain mustard is deal to raise cold meats or dishes such as the Pot-au-Feu, this excellent Old Mustard will give to your mayonnaise the characteristic crunching of whole Mustard seeds.
The wax seal on the pot should be broken with the back of a knife, then the knife gently inserted between the cork and the stoneware pot and cut all the way around.
Then, using a small firm-bristled brush, remove any small pieces of wax still stuck to the pot.
Once Opened, store it in a dry, dark place, this mustard has an exceptionally long shelf-life. Its stoneware pot prevents UV light from passing through as does its cork stopper sealed in.
